Cursor keeps crashing on large TypeScript projects
By FrostVibe801 · ISSUE · About Cursor
Anyone else having stability issues with Cursor on large codebases? My project has ~2000 TS files and Cursor crashes multiple times a day. The indexing seems to eat all my RAM (I have 32GB!) and then everything locks up.
I've tried:
- Excluding node_modules from indexing
- Reducing the context window
- Disabling some extensions
Nothing works consistently. Love the product but this is making it hard to use as my daily driver.

EagerOwl7486: I think this is related to the memory leak issue someone posted about last week.
BoldVibe231: Same issue here! Started happening after the last update.
SwiftMaker952: Filed a bug report. Everyone should do the same to get this prioritized.
AlexChen: PSA: downgrading to version 3.2 fixes this. Not ideal but works.
