Philips Hue is still the smart lighting king in 2026
By NeonGamer522 · REVIEW · 5/5 stars · About Philips Hue
I've tried LIFX, Govee, Nanoleaf, and Wyze lights. Keep coming back to Hue.
Yes it's expensive. Yes you need the bridge. But:
- Reliability is unmatched (99.9% uptime for me)
- HomeKit/Google/Alexa all work flawlessly
- The app is actually good now
- Color accuracy is the best I've seen
- 25+ year rated lifespan on the bulbs
You get what you pay for with smart home stuff. Cheap = unreliable = frustrating.

SolarSurfer919: This matches what I've seen. The build quality really is the standout feature.
WildOrbit297: Is this the 2025 or 2026 model? Makes a huge difference.
SwiftOrbit917: +1 to everything in this review
CrystalScout894: The price point is the real issue here. For what you pay, you should get way more.
HappyFox759: hard agree on the durability concerns. mine already shows wear after 3 months.
