Camera lens protector…
By StormSurfer638 · REVIEW · 3/5 stars · About iPhone 17 Pro
I have always thought camera lens protectors were necessary, and even though they got dinged up and made picture quality worse…. that means they’re working right?
Yeah, I think I see what everyone else is talking about. I’ve had these on maybe 3-4 months and they weren’t even that dinged up, but I decided to test the difference- because my pictures lately have seemed to lack the desired quality. (16 Pro)
It made me cringe lol. It’s just not worth it. If i’m gonna pay $1000 for a device and also have it insured, what’s the point of hindering its capabilities.

StormSurfer638: Apple spends a pretty penny to make the clearest camera lens out of sapphire...
And then people put an acrylic shit over it.
EpicScout226: I used to no case and never had a issue with the camera part mainly back glass or front glass
ThunderCoder479: Glad you saw the light, they’re stupid and not needed.
EpicPulse839: Just as a matter of physics the lens protectors are a bad idea.
They seem intuitively smart, but in practice they just limit the amount of light reaching the sensor
CrystalScout894: They have cases where the lens protectors have a little hinge or slide open to take pics.
EagerOwl7486: When I first got my 15PM I asked my carriers salesman if he recommended protectors for cameras. He said I’m supposed to say yes but honestly they are made out of sapphires and about the hardest thing to scratch on the device.
