120hz feels like 80-90
By StormDragon762 · DISCUSSION · About iPhone 17 Pro
i swear it can’t just be me, whenever i try out other flagship androids in the stores their 120hz feels like 240 when compared to the 120hz on iphone.. i get that some apps, if not most of them at this point, get limited to around 80-90hz and even as low as 60. but now it feels like even the ui of the phone itself just doesn’t feel smooth anymore, it feels really jittery ESPECIALLY when swiping thru home screen pages

ShadowVibe354: Yes, because it is 80hz.

ZenMaker756: Last time I said the same thing in this forum I got disliked so much. But yeah I have the 16 pro max and s24 ultra and scrolling and animations are much much smoother on the galaxy.
StormVibe941: I’ve seen a few people mention that Apple is much more aggressive in ramping down the framerates than Android manufacturers. You can even see it in the Apple Event video from this year (timestamp 31:30): https://www.youtube.com/live/H3KnMyojEQU?t=1890
Coming from a 90 Hz phone, I don’t notice it, b
EpicScout226: But the opposite happens when you're using an iPhone with a 60hz panel ;-;
FrostVibe801: i noticed this fresh out the box, upgrading from a 12pm
