Washed IPhone 17 Air
By ShadowVibe354 · REVIEW · 3/5 stars · About iPhone 17 Pro
Yall. I just accidentally washed my husband’s IPhone 17 Air in the washing machine!!! It went through the whole cycle but luckily it was an extremely small load so i had it set to quick wash. Quick wash only lasts around 25-30 ish minutes and the water was set to Warm temp. It was also set to “Auto” on water amount and “Light” for soil rinse options. When it went off and I went to switch it to the dryer I saw it so I immediately took the case off and turned it off. Now I have it sitting with the port side down in front of a fan. Be honest with me, am I cooked?😭😭

SarahKim: It should be okay as long as it didn’t get dinged up from the cycle. Just don’t plug it in for at least 12 hours, let it dry completely
ShadowSpark326: Don't heat the phone too much. The battery won't thank you.
I'd probably leave it off for as long as you can (ideally a couple of days) and then see how it goes.
CosmicByte7712: I think your husband needs to find a new wife! 😂
Just kidding. It’s the latest iPhone made only a few months ago with newest and greatest strong glue holding everything together, meaning no water should be able to seep in. Honestly i think you should be fine :)
Just let her dry off.
ShadowSpark326: Not cooked at all you are fine , just don’t turn it on for atleast 12 hour 👍
SwiftOrbit917: Debatable...
My wife dropped her iPhone 15 in about 3 feet of lake water (silty bottom) last summer. It was on the lake bottom for about 10-12 minutes. I retrieved it; dried it off with a towel, then installed a "water eject" app. It has been running just fine ever since - absolutely no issues
StormVibe941: I gotta know how this turned out!
