Update:
I guess I need to explain I meant a portable charger or and anker smaller charging brick.
I don't use the one that came with the sd.

SwiftEcho377: The strip is so that it's easier to lift the Deck out when it's laid under the Deck.
A tiny bit of it will poke past it, and you just lift it up and out comes your Deck.
EagerOwl7486: Mine doesn't have the white strip, but I've used the large outside band to help hold a battery pack, and headphones.
