VS Code vs the competition — which should I buy?

I'm torn between VS Code and its main competitors. Can anyone who has tried both share their experience? I mainly care about reliability, value for money, and long-term support. Budget isn't the primary concern.

EpicDrift889: Not sure I agree with the criticism here. VS Code has been reliable for me across multiple use cases. Maybe I just got lucky with my unit though.
