YouTube Premium performance degraded significantly

My YouTube Premium has gotten noticeably slower over the past few weeks. Tasks that used to be instant now take several seconds. I've tried all the usual troubleshooting steps. Starting to wonder if this is planned obsolescence or just a buggy update.

CosmicByte7712: PSA: downgrading to version 3.2 fixes this. Not ideal but works.

EpicScout226: Weirdly mine only does this when connected to wifi. Works fine on cellular.
