Apple Pay performance degraded significantly

My Apple Pay has gotten noticeably slower over the past few weeks. Tasks that used to be instant now take several seconds. I've tried all the usual troubleshooting steps. Starting to wonder if this is planned obsolescence or just a buggy update.

HappySpark80: Factory reset fixed it temporarily but it came back after 2 days.

StormVibe941: Have you tried reaching out to support? When I had a similar issue with Apple Pay they were actually pretty helpful and resolved it within a couple days.

EpicScout226: Just ordered Apple Pay based on this thread. You all have convinced me. Will report back in a month with my experience.
