One year in with Duolingo and I wanted to give an update. It's held up remarkably well with daily use. No significant degradation in performance or build quality. The software updates have actually made it better over time. This is genuinely a buy-it-for-life product in my experience.

With all the competition in this space, where does Duolingo stand heading into 2026? I think it still has strong fundamentals but the lack of innovation recently is concerning. The ecosystem is mature which is both a strength and a weakness. What do you all think about its future?
Is Duolingo worth it in 2026?
