Thar Roxx AX7L Mocha Brown — 3 month ownership review
By StormNinja586 — 5/5 stars
Picked up my AX7L Diesel AT 4WD in Mocha Brown 3 months ago. The interior is absolutely gorgeous — the brown and black two-tone feels premium. Panoramic sunroof is massive. Harman Kardon system is surprisingly good for a Mahindra. Done 5000 kms including a Ladakh trip. #thar #review #offroad
Switched from Fortuner to Thar Roxx AX7L — no regrets
By DigitalHawk9933 — 5/5 stars
Owned a Fortuner for 4 years. The Thar Roxx rides better (frequency dependent damping is legit), has way more features at half the price, and the 4WD system is more capable off-road. Only miss the Fortuner's 3rd row and highway stability at 140+. #thar #review #comparison
Thar Roxx diesel AT mileage in real-world conditions
By AlexChen — 4/5 stars
Getting 14-15 kmpl in city and 18-19 kmpl on highway with my AX5L Diesel AT RWD. AC always on. This is better than what I expected from a 1900kg SUV. The 6AT is smooth, barely any turbo lag. #thar #review #diesel
Thar Roxx MX1 base variant — honest review after 10000 kms
By EagerOwl7486 — 4/5 stars
Not everyone needs the top variant. My MX1 Diesel MT does everything I need — the engine is torquey, 6MT is precise, LED headlights are great. Yes I miss the alloys and touchscreen could be better, but at 13.6L this is incredible value. Averaging 16 kmpl mixed. #thar #review #bifl
AX7L Petrol AT vs Diesel AT — city driving perspective
By EagerOwl7486 — 4/5 stars
Test drove both back to back. The petrol is noticeably smoother and more refined, barely any NVH. Diesel has more low-end punch but vibrations creep in at idle. For 95% city driving, the petrol AT at 19.70L makes more sense. Diesel only if you do 1500+ kms/month. #thar #comparison #review
Known Issues
Thar Roxx suspension noise from front — warranty experience
Developed a clunking noise from the front suspension at 8000 kms. Dealer replaced the front stabilizer link under warranty, fixed in a day. Common issue apparently. Build quality could be better for the underbody components. #thar #issue
ADAS false braking issue on Thar Roxx — anyone else?
My AX7L has been giving random phantom braking on highways, especially near overhead signs and bridges. Happened 3 times in 2000 kms. Dealer says software update is coming. Is this a known issue? Getting scary at 100+ kmph. #thar #issue #adas

Thar Roxx off-road beast mode — Ladakh expedition photos
Just completed a 2-week expedition from Manali to Pangong Lake in our AX7L 4WD. The 4XPLOR system handled everything — river crossings, rocky trails, snow at Khardung La. Ground clearance of 226mm was crucial. Here are some shots from the trip.
Mocha Brown interior — does it age well?
For those who've had the Mocha Brown interior for 6+ months, how is it holding up? Worried about staining and wear on the lighter brown portions. Does it show dust easily? Planning to get the AX7L 4WD Mocha but want real owner feedback first. #thar #question
Star Edition or AX7L RWD — confused buyer
The Star Edition at 18.35L (Diesel AT) looks incredible with the blacked-out theme and Citrine Yellow. But it misses ADAS and powered driver seat that AX7L has at 20L. Purely city driving, no off-road plans. Which would you pick? #thar #comparison
Weekend Ladakh trip in Thar Roxx MX5 4WD — photo dump
Just completed Manali to Leh in our MX5 4WD. The 4XPLOR system with low range handled Rohtang and Khardung La perfectly. 650mm water wading came in handy at multiple water crossings. Ground clearance of 226mm is class-leading. This is THE SUV for Indian conditions. #thar #offroad #travel
MX5 4WD vs AX7L 4WD — which one to pick?
Budget is flexible between 18.5L and 22L. The AX7L gets panoramic sunroof, Harman Kardon, 360 camera, and ADAS. But the MX5 4WD at 18.49L saves me 4 lakhs. Is ADAS worth it on a Thar? Anyone with MX5 4WD happy with their choice? #comparison #thar
